The Splatterwench

Honeysuckle mistakes Isabeau for her assistant, and pays a very messy price

We have a tradition here where the artist-in-residence, in this case Honeysuckle, can book a "splatterwench", a willing member of the household staff who will agree to spend an hour being a "splatter target" for the artist to practice their throwing technique on. On this occasion Honeysuckle had called for a splatterwench, and on entering her studio found Isabeau, in a black boilersuit, assumed she was the willing victim, and lost no time in starting to throw stuff over her, first a nice solid custard splatter to Isabeau's bottom, and then when she turns round, Devon Dream all down her front. At which point Honeysuckle realises she's made a terrible mistake and thet Isabeau isn't in fact her splatterwench at all. Oops!

Fortunately, Isabeau realises she quite likes the felling of her clothes getting messy, and agrees to continue, as long as she gets to get her own back on Honeysuckle tit-for-tat. Which means Honeysuckle's nice black Killstar shortalls, mesh top, stripey socks, and transparent wellies, aren't going to stay clean for much longer either.
